What is weather? For some its whether there is any percipitation outside. Others its just whether its hot or cold outside. Both of which have something to do with weather. Acoording to the online dictionary the definition of weather is as follows.

1.the state of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc.

2.a strong wind or storm or strong winds and storms collectively: We've had some real weather this spring.

3.a weathercast: The radio announcer will read the weather right after the commercial.

4.Usually, weathers. changes or vicissitudes in one's lot or fortunes: She remained a good friend in all weathers.

People who measure weather are called meteorologists. Meteorology is the study of the atmosphere that focuses on weather processing. These weather scientists or meteorologists measure the weather with many different tools. Considering there are many different types of weather that can be measured.
 

Temperature is measures using a thermometer. This measuring device tells the temperature of the atmosphere. Temperature can be measured in ferenheit and in celcius. There are many other tools to measure different weather types.

A Barometer is an istrument that is used to measure atmospheric pressure. It can measure the pressure exerted by the atmosphere by using water, air, or mercury. (Wikipedia and Google Images)









An Anemometer is an instrument that is used for measuring wind speed, and is one of the many instrments used in weather stations. (Wikipedia and Google Images)










A Hygrometer is an instrument used to measure the realative humidity. Modern hygrometers are motorized. (Wikipedia and Google Images)






A Psychrometer is an instrument used to measure the water vapor content or relative humidity of the atmosphere. It consists of two identical thermometers—the wet-bulb thermometer, so called because its bulb is covered with a jacket of tight-fitting muslin cloth that can be saturated with distilled water; and the dry-bulb thermometer. When the cloth is soaked and the thermometers are properly ventilated, the wet-bulb temperature will be lower than the dry-bulb temperature (actual air temperature) because of cooling due to the evaporation of water from the cloth.(Encyclopedia. com and Google Images)
